An opinion piece wisely pointed out that the POTUS using the term “Chinese virus,” is intending to create a distraction from the real issue – the failure of the administration to be prepared for and avert a serious epidemic, the lack of testing, and the general fiasco that Trump has been and will continue to be – by bringing attention to his racism. It’s sort of like burning a house down to hide a body. Sort of.
Today in North Idaho spring kept coming. The birds will sing and the flowers will keep blooming no matter what is happening to us humans, and that is a source of great comfort to me.
I am staying busy and honestly feel fine about being home right now. In some ways it’s a relief to feel like I don’t have to do anything. But we did go for a drive today to run errands. The green hills looked inviting.
I braved Costco, keeping a safe distance from other humans and washing my hands thoroughly. I threw a few things in the cart, then let DH complete the shopping while I waited in the sun near the car.
I am nervous about prenatal day tomorrow, but I will march forward, stay hygienic and shower when I get home. I need to send an email to the clients I will be seeing, so off I go.

White Russian +
The White Russian, as you know, is featured in The Big Lebowski, which you should absolutely watch, if you have never seen it, or rewatch tonight.
The classic recipe is equal parts vodka, Kahlua and heavy cream or half and half. Pour each ingredient over ice and stir to combine. To elevate it to something sublime, add 1-2 tsp of either orange liqueur, such as Triple Sec, or Framboise (raspberry).
Kahlua does have caffeine in it, so if you have it in the evening, you might have trouble falling asleep. Enjoy. Abide.
